About Us

This is a blog / journal about a couple of almost grey nomads in the North Island of New Zealand, who have for some strange and exotic reason decided to acquire a motor home, and spend as much time as they can travelling around, spending time with each other and seeing the amazing country of New Zealand.

This is what we call “Living The Dream“.  Another road and corner leading to another adventure. With a new sunset or sunrise, and wide smiles.

This blog will document some of the adventures, not only of the travels, but also some of the joys, trials and tribulations of buying, using and maintaining a motor home.

What is in a name?

So the name of the this blog is the same as the name of our motorhome, and we accept that it is a little bit of a different name.

Zontas to óneiro stems from the translation of  “Living The Dream” into Greek.  This entire process of taking up this particular lifestyle is to live the dream, and by using the Greek translation allows us to not only pay homage to our respective ancestries having a strong and distinct European / Mediterranean influence, but Greece is also one of the most special and unique places in the world.
